Brief Description:  Picked up the fuselage kit - Inventory #1

Started my day driving through Toronto morning traffic and arriving at the Lewiston border around 0933 hours, where I crossed in about a minute.

Arrived at my storage location, picked up my VP-100, my wiring harness from Vertical Power, and my fuselage kit.

I actually drove my dodge caravan with the seats removed. I anticipated having to tie the hatch down, but it actually fit into the van completely! Shocked, but happy since the downpour started soon after I cleared customs back in Canada. The entire event took 33 minutes from clearing US customs to clearing Canadian customs...couldn't believe it. It's actually much cheaper for me to drive to Lewiston, pick up the freight, avoid the brokerage fees, and bring it back to Canada and hope for a good CBSA agent. I scored huge today and the CBSA agent was a good dude!

The total trip from my door back to my door was 5 hours, and then I went to work for half the day.

I started to inventory the kit and finished the hardware tonight after counting and sorting it, labeling the locations and tracking it on the spreadsheet. I also numbered the shelves you see in picture 3 and recorded the location of the parts as I placed them on the different shelves. I'll type it into excel and have no difficulty finding a part when I need it.

I figure I'm about half way through the inventory, which I will finish tomorrow after work.

Have to find a home for the shipping crate. I have no room left in my garage for it. I'll try to get it into the shed tomorrow before the big freeze comes Thursday.

I'll spend some time and dress up that firewall before I start riveting pieces to it.
